Course coordinator for Accounting for Business Operations Course. 

Developed a common syllabus, common classroom materials and common exams, as well as exercising oversight over a number of GTAs.  GTA oversight included holding weekly meetings, mentoring and trouble-shooting. 

 

Typical classroom load is four sections resulting in 200+ students.   Course

enrollment is approximately 600 students.

 

Developed and teach an Accounting for Business Operations distance learning course in conjunction with CBT Systems.

Sept. 1994 to Current               Fred W. Smith, CPA.  Licensed CPA and sole practitioner in a tax and

business consulting practice.  Approximately 70 clients of a diverse

background to include corporate, trusts, estates, partnerships and individuals. 

Services include tax preparation, planning and business start-up consulting.

 

                                                As a licensed CPA, obtained required 40 clock hours per year of continuing

education as administered by the Kansas Board of Accountancy.

 

October 1992 to Current          Co-owner of Mail Boxes, Etc. franchise with wife Cheryl. Performed all the

planning for start-up and actively involved in day to day record keeping,

personnel decisions and day to day operations.

 

May 1988 to August 1994        Sink, Gillmore & Gordon, Public Accountants

                                                5/88 to 6/92 Staff and Junior Accountant, tax and audit.

                                                6/92 Promoted to Tax Manager.
