Tutorial on the Time Value of Money

Introduction   If you are a finance major, you probably know by now that the concept of Time Value of Money is at the heart of finance. All financial decisions use this concept. Yet, learning this concept can be daunting task for the beginning finance student. In this tutorial, I have attempted to provide you with an opportunity to master this concept. Each topic in the tutorial includes:
  1. A discussion of the concept
  2. One or more solved examples showing you the details of the computations
  3. One or more practice problems in an interactive multiple-choice format (Don't worry, I will not grade your work! But the tutorial will tell you if you arrived at the correct answer or not, and a complete solution for each problem is included in case you really get stumped.

The tutorial is in a familiar "Windows HTML Help File" format. If you have Windows 95/98/NT/2000 installed on your machine, you should be able to work through this tutorial.

     
Downloading Instructions   You can download the tutorial by clicking on the link on the right. Here's the steps you should follow.
  1. Click the link on the right --> Time Value of Money Tutorial
  2. When prompted, select "Save this file to Disk" and click the "OK" button.
  3. Select a folder on your hard disk and save the file.
  4. After you have saved the file, open Windows Explorer and navigate to this file.
  5. Double clicking on this file name in Explorer will start the tutorial!
