How to Submit Assignments for Grading

For all assignments in MANGT 366, you will need to submit your files (and printouts) for grading.  Here is how you need to prepare and submit the files that you create.

1.                   First, make sure that ALL OF THE FILES THAT YOU CREATED FOR A GIVEN ASSIGNMENT are in some sort of named folder.  Remove any files not part of the current assignment from the folder.

2.                   Next, you need to compress/zip your work.  Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to find your named folder and CLICK ON IT ONCE.  Right-click the named folder, select SEND TO, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.  A zipped folder should appear on your storage media (in the same general area near your named folder). The zipped file (zipped up folder) is what you will submit for grading.

3.                  Pull up a web browser and visit online.ksu.edu and log into KSU Online.

4.                  Find and enter the Information Technology for Business course.

5.                  Upon entering the course, you should be at the main/intro page.  Toward the top of your screen, you should see the word CONTENT.  Place your cursor over that word.

6.                  After placing your cursor on the word CONTENT, you should see should ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION DROPBOX appearing below and to the left of CONTENT.

7.                    Click on ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION DROPBOX.

8.                    After doing that, you should see one or more folders (how many you see at any point in time depends on the number of outstanding assignments students are currently working on)

9.                    Find the folder for the activity that you wish to submit.  Click that folder and several section dropboxes should appear.  Click the dropbox that corresponds to the lab section you are enrolled in.  If you ever find that your section dropbox is not visible, it could be because you are handing in an assignment after the deadline.  In that case, you will need to submit your work into the Submit Late Work Here dropbox.

10.               Once inside your section dropbox, you should then be able to upload your zipped folder to KSU Online.  Use the browse button to navigate to your storage media and select your named zip folder.

11.               After selecting the named zip folder, click the upload button to upload your work to KSU Online.

12.                 Once you see the File Upload Successful screen, then you know that you have uploaded your assignment file successfully to KSU Online.  (You can also verify this by clicking the link to upload another file.  If you do this, you will be taken back to the dropbox upload screen, which will also show all of the files/folders that you had previously uploaded (name, upload date, and size).    It is probably a good idea to always verify that the upload look place (since it is your responsibility to make sure that you upload your work successfully prior to the assignment deadline.

If you discover that you made an error in your work or if you discover that you did not do all of the required steps, you can always correct your assignment files, zip/compress them again, and then make another upload to KSU Online.  THERE IS NO PENALTY FOR MAKING MULTIPLE ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSIONS.  Due to the date/time stamp provided to me by KSU Online, I can always tell what your most recent submission is.  IF YOU MISTAKENLY SUBMIT YOUR ASSIGNMENT TO THE WRONG DROPBOX, THEN GO BACK AND RESUBMIT TO THE CORRECT LOCATION.
